How to Order a Custom Barong Tagalog

Ordering a custom Barong Tagalog is simpler than it may seem. You do not need to know every detail about the fabric, ornament, or construction before contacting us. It is enough to tell us what the Barong is for, when you need it, and which style you prefer.
After your first message, we clarify the design direction, materials, and timeline. We then schedule a consultation with Josip, help with measurements, and, if needed, prepare a fitting Barong before the final piece is made.
Send Your First Inquiry

The process begins with a message through the consultation form. The first inquiry carries no obligation. It simply helps us understand the project, timeline, and general direction of your future Barong Tagalog.
In the form, select “Barong Tagalog” as the type of custom piece.
In your message, it is helpful to include:
event date;
delivery country or city;
the occasion for the Barong;
the style you prefer: Classic Barong, Coat-Style Barong, or Full Custom Barong;
any personal preferences, if you already have them.
We usually respond within 24 hours.
Materials, Ornament, and Preliminary Price

At the second stage, you may send photos or examples of Barong Tagalog styles that you like. This does not need to be a finished design. Even a few references can help us understand the style, silhouette, fabric, or mood of the future Barong.
We will also guide you through fabric options and embroidery possibilities.
After this, you will receive a preliminary price and estimated timeline. If the overall design does not change significantly, the final price usually remains close to the preliminary estimate.
Order Confirmation and Deposit
To confirm the order, a deposit of approximately 30% of the preliminary price is required.
The deposit is not a separate fee. It is credited toward the total cost of the Barong Tagalog and deducted from the final balance.
After the deposit is received, we schedule a private video consultation with Josip.
Consultation with Josip
During the video consultation, the Barong style, fabric, ornament, embroidery placement, timeline, measurements, and personal design details are discussed.
Josip will also help you take the correct measurements for the Barong.
If the design becomes more complex during the consultation, the final price may be adjusted before production begins. For example, this may include additional ornament on the back or sleeves, more handwork, or more complex placement of details.
All changes are discussed in advance.
Sketches and Design Approval
After the consultation, Josip will prepare sketches or design notes if they are needed for your project.
For simpler orders, one consultation may be enough. For more complex projects, such as a Full Custom Barong, an additional video consultation may be arranged to confirm the ornament, proportions, and details before production begins.
The purpose of this stage is to make sure the design is clear to both you and us.
Fitting Barong

Upon request, we can prepare a fitting Barong before the final garment is made.
It is made according to your measurements and helps check the fit in advance. This is especially useful for international orders, when the client cannot come for an in-person fitting.
The fitting Barong is provided free of charge. The client covers shipping only.
Production of the Final Barong Tagalog

After the design, measurements, and fitting have been approved, where applicable, production of the final Barong Tagalog begins.
The timeline depends on the fabric, ornament complexity, and level of handwork. More detailed projects require more time, especially when hand embroidery or calado is used.
Sometimes, creating a single handworked ornament can take around one month. For this reason, it is better to begin the process early for weddings and important formal events.
Final Payment and Delivery

When the Barong Tagalog is completed, we send photos of the finished piece for confirmation.
After that, the remaining balance is paid, and the Barong is prepared for dispatch.
We ship orders within the Philippines, to the United States, Canada, and other countries. After dispatch, the client receives tracking details.
International delivery is free. For the United States and Canada, delivery usually takes around 8–14 business days after dispatch, depending on the destination and courier processing.
When to Start Your Order
If the Barong Tagalog is needed for a wedding or important event, it is better to start around three months in advance.
The minimum timeline depends on design complexity and current availability. If your event date is already close, you can still send an inquiry. We will check whether the order can be completed within the required timeframe.
View Finished Works
Before beginning your order, you can also view examples of finished Barong Tagalog pieces in our portfolio.
Finished works make it easier to see how the fit looks, how ornament appears on the fabric, and how simpler and more detailed Barong Tagalog designs differ.
